Activity 6: The Holocaust




1.  The holocaust was a period of time where the Nazi Secret Police exterminated over 6 million innocent Jews.

2.  They wanted to kill them because they believed that all Jewish people were bad and that there were very bad example of the Aryan race, and so Hitler gave the order to exterminate Jews in death camps on a daily basis.

3.  They had large camps called concentration camps or death camps, e.g. Aushwitz where they just gassed thousands and thousands of Jews everyday.

4.  The world reacted very badly to the mass genocide. The Nazis were hated and after the war many, many sanctions were placed on them and they were not allowed to have a military.

Activity 4: The Rise of the Nazi Power


2.   The purpose of the manifesto was to give the German people a sense of identity; to restore German dignity and pride; to create a pure race of German people, the Aryan race, where only people of German blood , with blonde hair and blue eyes, could be considered racial comrades; to identify Germany’s need for land and colonies.





3.   Aryan people were of pure German blood, blonde hair, and blue eyes. It was a racist ideology and Hitler himself didn’t at all resemble it.



5.  Propaganda. The Nazi party made people believe that Jews were bad, textbooks were rewritten to portray the ‘evil’ of the Jewish people. People were driven to believe obsessively in the Nazi cause. Joseph Goebbels was the ‘Minister of Propaganda’,he claimed that he could play the popular will like the piano, making the German people all ‘dance’ to his tune.
