Activity 4: The Rise of the Nazi Power

2.   The purpose of the manifesto was to give the German people a sense of identity; to restore German dignity and pride; to create a pure race of German people, the Aryan race, where only people of German blood , with blonde hair and blue eyes, could be considered racial comrades; to identify Germany’s need for land and colonies.

3.   Aryan people were of pure German blood, blonde hair, and blue eyes. It was a racist ideology and Hitler himself didn’t at all resemble it.

5.  Propaganda. The Nazi party made people believe that Jews were bad, textbooks were rewritten to portray the ‘evil’ of the Jewish people. People were driven to believe obsessively in the Nazi cause. Joseph Goebbels was the ‘Minister of Propaganda’,he claimed that he could play the popular will like the piano, making the German people all ‘dance’ to his tune.
